Dr. Endika Bengoetxea is panel coordinator at the ERC for PE6, the panel team in charge of following up projects and evaluation of proposals in the domain of Computer Science and Informatics. Prior to that, he held positions in EU institutions such as the Research Executive Agency and the European Commission as policy officer and programme manager on higher education and research domains.

Mr. Paolo Bergese is Professor of Chemistry at the University of Brescia, researcher of the Institute for Research and Biomedical Innovation - CNR and member of the Center for Colloid and Interface Science. He was also a visiting Professor at MIT. Mr. Bergese coordinates the H2020 FET projects evFOUNDRY and BOW, integrating chemistry, nanotechnology and molecular biology in extracellular vesicle research.

Mr. Jan Bernlöhr acts as an Investor Relation Manager for the Business Acceleration Services of the EIC and is in charge of the Financial Advisory Division at EurA AG, a German SME focused consulting company. He holds a master degree (M.Sc.) in Business Managament. Prior to his activity, he worked as senior financial consultant for more than 5 years and accompanied several IPOs during this time.

Ms. Maria A. Blasco is a Molecular Biologist and Director of the Spanish National Cancer Research Center (CNIO) in Madrid. She was elected EMBO Member in 2000 and sat at the EMBO Council during 2008-2011. Ms. Blasco received EMBO Gold Medal (2004), European“Young Investigator Award” (2002), Joseph Steiner Award (2003), Rey Jaime I Prize for Basic Research (2007), Körber European Science (2008), Santiago Ramon y Cajal.
Mr. Niklas Blomberg is Director of ELIXIR, the European infrastructure for bioinformatics and life-science data, based in Hinxton, UK (www.elixir-europe.org). He currently coordinates EOSC-Life - bringing together the 13 life science ESFRI research infrastructures to build EOSC for the life sciences - and ELIXIR-CONVERGE - to develop life science data management in the 23 national ELIXIR Nodes.

Dr. Antonella Bongiovanni is the principal investigator leading the Cellular Dynamics Lab at the Institute of Biomedical Research and Innovation of the National Research Council of Italy in Palermo. She is an active member of the International Society for Extracellular Vesicles (ISEV), Executive Chair of the Extracellular Vesicles Italian (EVIta) Society and H2020 - FET VES4US and BOW projects coordinator.

Ms. Bou is also Associate Professor of ESADE Business School since 1998. Cofounder and former director of the GRACO Research Group (IIK) at ESADE. Consultant and researcher in the field of Knowledge &Innovation Management.
European Research Council
Since 27 July 2020, Jean-Pierre BOURGUIGNON is President as interim of the European Research Council. He was ERC President between 2014 and 2019. In 2013, he became Directeur de recherche emeritus at CNRS. Director of the Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques in Bures-sur-Yvette (1994-2013), he also taught Mathematics at École polytechnique (1986-2012).
A graduate from École Polytechnique (class 1966), he holds a PhD in Mathematical Sciences from University Paris VII (1974).
His research concerns differential geometry, global analysis and mathematical aspects of theoretical physics.
He was president of the European Mathematical Society (1995-1998).
Member of the Academia Europaea, he holds Honorary Doctorate degrees from Keio University and Nankai University.
