Mr. Michael Hübel is a Political Scientist. He worked for different German youth and social welfare organisations. Between 1989 and 1995 he worked for the German Red Cross Headquarters. Mr. Hübel joined the Commission in 1995, and worked between 2000 to 2016 for the DG Health and Food Safety, Public Health. Since 2017, he is Head of Unit, Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety, in DG Eneregy with responsibility for relevant Euratom legislation, environmental monitoring, and health protection.
