HUB 9: European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT)

Powering Europe’s innovators and entrepreneurs

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has become Europe’s largest and most experienced innovation ecosystem. It delivers innovation by supporting the development of pan-European partnerships, EIT Knowledge and Innovation Communities, among leading companies, research labs and universities.

Participants explored some unique aspects of the EIT’s upcoming strategy for 2021 to 2027 through a session on:

  • how the EIT boosts the innovation capacity of regions across Europe
  • the role the EIT can play in increasing Higher Education Institutions’ innovation and entrepreneurship capacities in Europe.

Other sessions included

  • innovating for the Green Deal
  • a European approach to Artificial Intelligence.

Participants learned how the EIT Community creates new opportunities to turn the best ideas into high impact products and services, and how the EIT builds bridges that boost Europe’s competitiveness and international appeal. Innovators, entrepreneurs, students, researchers, businesses, public authorities, universities, and everyone with a passion for change and problem-solving are all welcome.
