HUB 4: Developing and implementing Horizon Europe
The making of an impact-driven programme
Horizon Europe (2021-2027) is the biggest and most ambitious EU research and innovation programme ever. Its goal is to keep the EU at the forefront of global research and innovation for the twin digital and green transitions. This hub covered how investing in research and innovation can help drive Europe’s resilient recovery from the coronavirus crisis.
Horizon Europe’s broad co-design and co-creation activities have been a big success so far. They have spanned national representatives, Members of the European Parliament, researchers, businesses and the general public.
Participants had the chance to further shape the strategic planning and actions’ design during interactive sessions on the six programme clusters and other components.
Sessions covered :
- how research and innovation can contribute to achieving a sustainable and inclusive recovery
- regulatory barriers to innovation
- the importance of reinforcing synergies between Horizon Europe and other EU funding programmes and policies
- the role of European Partnerships for a greener, socially relevant and digitally-enabled economy.
Research and innovation are key to how we live, how we work and how we protect the climate. Horizon Europe is to be the biggest and most ambitious EU Research Innovation Programme ever.
